West Australian Premier Mark McGowan has kept the state open to NSW travellers for now, despite five new cases of locally-acquired COVID-19 in Sydney over the past two days.
The first case was an aircrew van driver who lives in south Sydney followed by two cases in the Northern Beaches, which were confirmed on Wednesday.
A further two cases in the Northern Beaches were reported by NSW Health on Thursday.
“We’ll just wait and see what the medical advice is,” Mr McGowan told reporters.
“If we need to put up the hard border we will.”
