No Time to Die‘s Daniel Craig has laughed off the idea of his James Bond being the “least horny.”
Speaking at a Casino Royale Q&A in New York this week, the 52-year-old was looking back at his time in the role of 007, when he was asked by the moderator to discuss taking a “classic Bond trope of sexuality and giving it a new spin.”

“How dare you!” Craig joked about the claim, before adding: “A lot of thought goes on behind this, clearly, but I wanted to explode some of the things that had gone on before.
“I did want to make the characters of the women mean something and it was very important to lift that. Hopefully, something we’ve done through the [movies] managed to do that.”
Craig went on: “[Sex] was part of it, sex is definitely closely related. Everybody is a bit turned on by all of this, but we didn’t want to get rid of that. We wanted the movies to be sexy.
“But it wasn’t the go-to, there was the twist to it–something that pushed it away, he falls in love, he’s heartbroken. All of these things are allowed.”
Speaking of broken hearts, it’s also been teased that Casino Royale‘s Vesper Lynd could be referenced in the upcoming No Time to Die.
Her death in that movie proved to be a window into Bond’s emotions, which was a welcome change for the famous philanderer.
No Time to Die will now be released in UK theaters on November 12 and in the US on November 25. All the previous Bond movies are available on DVD or Blu-ray.
