  • Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip are self-isolating with many members of the Queen’s senior staff at Windsor Castle.
  • The staff isn’t allowed to see their family while quarantining with the Queen.

Are you struggling with cooking during quarantine? How about childcare or tutoring any children that can’t currently go to school? And have you thought about maybe just…inviting a few of your staff members to come self-isolate with you at your palace to make things easier? Cause that’s exactly what Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip have done.

According to British tabloid The Sun, the Queen and Prince Philip are quarantining in Windsor Castle with a casual 22 staff members. The outlet didn’t share the roles of all of the staff who are currently serving the Queen, but it reportedly includes her “master of the household,” her private secretary and his assistants, as well as other members of her senior staff.

These royal employees are not allowed to see family or partners while isolating with the Queen, who, reminder, is 94 years old. An insider shares, “they won’t be seeing their families because no risks can be taken and they can’t go in and out. The most important thing is to protect the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh from the virus. If something happened to them it doesn’t bear thinking about.” That said, the Queen is also following strict guidelines and hasn’t seen any other members of the royal fam since she started self-isolating last month.

So if you were concerned about the Queen during this pandemic, know that she has a pretty solid set up and support staff with her, so she’s likely doing okay!
